Two of us had planned to go to GOA via train/bus, as plane option was turning out to be pretty expensive.
We chose Paulo travels as the timings were very conducive to us. The bus was supposed to leave at 930 PM and reach Goa at 9 AM the next morning. Hence we booked a to and for ticket at Paulo travels Bangalore
Cost of ticket one way : 800 INR
Type of Bus : AC VOLVO Sleeper coach
But the journey both ways was pathetic in all ways. Here is why ;
1) Rude Bus driver and support staff : Usually one doesnt expect bus drivers to be gentlest of folks around, but the bus driver as well as support staff were at the rudest best to all the passengers of bus.
2) Cramped Seating and sleeping arrangement : Sleeping berth was too small and narrow for 2 people to fit in. I and my friend had a hard time sleeping in the berth. Semi sleeper arrangement was even worse than sleeper arrangement, with zero leg room space .
3) Poor quality of bus service : In the middle of journey, the main axle of the bus broke down and entire wheel balance of the bus went for a toss. The bus driver was driving at speed of 20 Km per hour to avoid any mishap. He didnt even bother to let anyone know about this breakdown and neither did he inform any mechanic.
So overall, my experience with Paulo travels was quite bad and definitely am not going to use their bus service for any travel.
