I travelled with Paulo from Pune to Goa and back this month. I am narrating my horrid experience .
*Pune to Goa
*I had the following problems :
I had booked a ticket for 18th ; I was issued a ticket for 11th . I got it rectified .
I had booked 3 tickets - my ticket also showed 3 seats and relevant amount paid . At the time of
departure , the concerned staff said - only 2 seats are allocated to you . Why ? Nobody knew - I
had to adamantly occupy 3 seats .
3.There was double booking and a lot of inconvenience .
*Goa to Pune
*1. I was to supposed to board at Madgaon at 7:45 pm ( my ticket said so ) I reached Madgaon
Paulo office at 6: 30 pm as I had checked out from hotel and had no place to keep my
luggage . The bus had already left !!! This fact I learned from other people around - the person
at the counter had looked at my ticket and had told me to sit for an hour !!!
2. Now the person says that it was supposed to depart from Panjim at 7:45 pm . He told me to take a taxi to Panjim for Rs. 600/- .I was left with no choice. I called up at Paulo travels Panjim and told them the problem and urged not to let the bus leave Panjim as we were on the way . We reached Panjim at 7:50pm . The bus had left !!! The lady at the counter gave me a lecture on punctuality as if it was my fault - and tells me to go to Mapusa the next stop.
When I asked her where shall I tell the taxiwallah to stop in Mapusa - she replies -why do you ask so many questions - find it for yourself !!! What an audacity !!! The fact that I finally got the bus at Mapusa was not Paulos help but my luck . I was carrying with me huge luggage and a small hungry child who finally slept without food kudos to Paulo .
- I was issued a ticket of Rs. 2250 , whereas I was charged Rs.2700. My several attempts at getting refund have been in vain. Is Paulo Travels on a self destructive mission ? If so my best wishes for it - Do not expect any sympathy from a passenger who has been so ill treated .
