A magnificent period piece biopic around an occasion and a persona that spellbound the world for reasons other than its expressed reason.
This is a pleasant about the life and times of the Chess Genius, Bobby Fischer. It tries to depict his life developing in Brooklyn and his fixation on the session of chess. It tries to clarify where some of his neurosis may have began as a tyke as an aftereffect of his mom being a comrade. I thought Tobey McGuire made a magnificent showing of playing him.
Generally an extremely pleasant film about the real life and the catastrophe that fell him with his mental state upon his achievement of turning into the world chess champion. This is a film worth watching this year.
