I use PayPal to send invoices to customers when they request them which does fine except when people choose to pay through PayPal ( even when I ask them to pay via bank transfer) and then I have to cop the fee. What’s even worse is that they hold your money for 3 weeks which is utterly stupid even a bank can get it to you in 3 days ( or same day if my customers use Commbank like I do) . It’s just fees galore with PayPal and they really need to step up their game. Those of you who have read some of my other reviews will know that I often don’t write bad ones because I find them pointless and stupid but this really is pretty poor considering how much further ahead everyone else is when it comes to money. I do really like their invoicing tool because it is easy to use and effective but when people decide to suddenly pay via PayPal it opens up a whole new world of issues. A few dollars here and there in fees for a homeowner might be ok but for a business it can really add up quick hence why I have now amended my Terms & Conditions to state that if customers want to pay through PayPal let us know so we can add in the fee. I highly suggest anyone using this tool in a similar way does this as it will save you a lot of money in the long run.
Overall a decent site with a good invoice tool but they really need to get up to date with their fees because they are way over the top.
