Paytm was my firts e commerce portal, I have been using paytm to recharge for more than 4 years now and it been a hassle free experience, it I still my go to for recharging, offers although rare are an added bonus.
Then Paytm started online shopping a year or so back. I decided to give it a try even when the sellers and products seemed a bit suspicious maybe because as the overall ui feels cluttered. Anyway I decided to try it out mainly because of my trust in paytm and also the offers were too good to resist.
And my very first shopping was a huge success and I was able get an amazing deal and also the overall shopping experience including delivery was great. The rain of offers in Paytm still continue, and even though in the form of cashback it is still great deals, if only they were fulfilled
But after that purchases were rare or almost non existent as most of the product didn’t ship to Kerala, now that has started to change, but has proven to be no good because of the three product I ordered that ended up having bad experience.
The first was cancelled after couple of days, the second got was delivered but the priced seemed to have been inflated when I later compared with another site but as the net price was lower after the offers I didn’t complain. The third was by far the worst shopping experience, not only was the product not delivered in the end it took over a month for the whole ordeal.
The shipping was done instantly but tracking details were never updated and when I contacted the cc, the overall response was cold and at one point they somehow sounded like they were blaiming me for the whole ordeal. But anyhow cash was received, but there was no other compensation for holding back my money for a month.
Now after some time I tried my luck again, it has been 5 days which was the promised maximum date for shipping and the product is yet to be dispatched. If you are a normal shopper I would suggest you to stay away, the discount are not worth the risk. For deal-hunters try at your own risk
