I bought a table cloth from paytm and they sent me a completely different product. When I complained about it they told me now I have to pack the product and send it to them which was ridiculous.
The representative of paytm never said sorry for their misconduct and it seemed that this kind of thing was very common in paytm.
Another thing is that they do not provide cash on delivery service in kolkata which is absolutely absurd. I live in proper kolkata region but it took them for 10 days to deliver the product. Whenever I tried to track the order I could not find any proper location.
Every time I called their customer care no they said it will be delivered to your address very soon but they did not say any particular date of delivery. The quality of the product was also very bad so I decided to return the product but I was not able to find information how and where should I return it. After few days they told me the seller address which I needed to write on the product.
My overall experience with paytm was absolutely pathetic. As an e- commerce player I think paytm is not ready they can not provide right assistance to their customers, they send wrong, low quality product, no cash on delivery on any of its items.
But I had faced an issue with their mobile recharge portal. Once I had recharged my airtel prepaid no with 100 rs top up, it showed successful on its website but my no did not get that amount on that time and after 3 days I got it. Generally as a mobile recharge portal it works fine but as an online seller of different items I can not recommend paytm. Recently I saw that they joined hand with power supply company cesc for its monthly bill payment, I did not pay my electricity bill through paytm portal because many of my friend had experienced numerous issues with it.
So I think paytm need to improve their services a lot. Their are many online shops who provide very good quality product and user experience if we compare it with paytm’s service. I used to love paytm when it was only a mobile recharge site on those days they provided huge amount of discount for each and every recharge.
Now they are providing a number of services but the quality of their services is very low. Even their mobile recharge portal sometimes do not work properly. I think paytm is not making any right decisions about their services and policies, if they stick to their core services I think it will do good in the market so if you want me to rate this website then I will give it 0 out of 5 star for their online shop and 2.5 out of 5 star for their mobile recharge services.
