As we all know that online recharges are now a common thing. Now as the technology is improving people have found many ways to earn money. And the founder of Paytm Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma is no exception. The website went online in 2010 and since then has never looked back. Mr. Vijay started it as just an online recharge website but after six years he has achieved greater heights, It has everything in it starting from mobile/bills recharge to online shopping and paytm offers great discounts when you recharge through if or book tickets through it. I have been using paytm since 2012 and I would like to share both the good and bad experiences with paytm. I have never used paytm for shopping from it because when compared to other other shopping websites paytm’s items are much costlier and when you get a discount from it you get a cashback which can only be used for mobile recharges or paying your bills. Once I had recharged for an amount of Rs220/- through paytm for my friend. I received a confirmation message both on my phone and email that the transaction was successful, but after half an hour my friend called me and told that he has not received the amount, so I was shocked and I immediately wrote to patym via email and I got a reply after around 24hours that saying

Thank you for writing in to us. Your ticket no is 102269622.
We will get back to you within the next 72 hours.

and then there was no reply from their end.
Then I tried calling their customer care executives. they said that the recharge was successful from their end and there might be some problem from the service provider’s end. And when I called the service provider they said there was no such record of recharge of Rs 220/- on the number. I then continuously wrote to them and each and every time they would generate a ticket and after around 2 or 3 days they would close the complaint saying the issue has been solved. Till today I have not got any refund from patym. That is the only bad experience I have had with paytm, otherwise its a very good website with amazing features.
Now as demonetization is at its peak paytm has introduced online payments for road side vendors and shopkeepers who suffered a lot due to lack of cash. It is a great initiative by paytm for small business owners. Paytm has joined hands with the government to fight against corruption and encourage people to form a cashless society.
