I started reading PC Quest from the year 91 onwards infact as I remember there were compter today, Pc Qoest, Dataquest and one or two more mags.I found PCQ as a very good magazine providing lot of useful information, tips focus on current issue, sourcecode and utility CD.The star attraction was Linux Cd which used to be shipped after a regular interval. It went on for 3-4 years but slowly it was felt that the mag was missing some key areas like career focus, need of individual users etc.By that time I think Chip also came into market. With its glossy prints and two cds it was attractive but content wise still PCq was better. This went on till 2001 after that I stopped reading both of them as somehow it was felt that they do not address the need of multimedia developer like me and with net becoming a common thing one does not have to spend 100-200 bugs just for getting winzip or acrobat or a driver. But till I feel PCQ is better for the beginner as the stress had been on contents.
