Peb fort is also called as vikatgad is a fort which 19 km located from karjat in raigad district, This fort is continuation with malang gad, tauli hill and Chanderi gad of matheran hill range.
The trek path to peb fort/vikatgad is along deep ravines and cliffs. its closeness to matheran to neral its atteract most of trekkers on weekend, The forest department and local villagers doint some plantation and restoration program on the fort.
This fort can be reached from panvel and neral towns. The nearest town is matheran which is 8km nearest from neral.
This trek route start from the base of villeges like mamadpur and fansawadi it required 3 hours reach from the momadpur and fansawadi.
The neral is well connected by train.it is the busy station on mumbai-pune railway line.there are good hotels in matheran and neral. Tea snacks are also available on the way matheran. the easiest way to reach matheran by bus/car/train.
