Charged 5% for canceling an order by themselve

PRODUCT NAME : Yera Cosmos Mugs Set of 6 Pcs – 125 ML


After placing order, I noticed an error in the shipping address from my side. I selected State as Madhya Pradesh instead of Maharashtra. So, immediately I wrote a mail to their customer care. I waited for 1 hour to receive an automated computer generated acknowledgement mail but I didn’t. Then I chat with their representative (max), he told me that it will take 48 hours to modify the shipping details.


On third day I checked the shipping details, it was the same, there was no correction of address. Again I chat with them, their reply was same, it will take another 48 hours. Then I asked is it possible to cancel the order? They replied, yes but they will charge 5%!!


I shocked, asked – why this 5%? Other shopping portals are not doing this plus not taking so much time (48 hrs+48 hrs) to solve a simple issue like address modification.


Their simple answer – it is our policy!!!


Then I closed the chat window.


On 31st August’2013, I received a mail that my order is canceled as per my request & my refund has been initiated, after deduction of the 5% Service Fee from the amount paid.


I gave 1/5 rating above for all sections because there was no option of giving less points. I would like to give negative points for all the sections.


My Opinion:-Worst customer service, Rear refund policy(deduct 5% of paid amount), never ending issue handling time(48 hrs+48 hrs+…..).
