No replacement & worst return policy

Ordered a Phillips Philips HD4907 Induction Cooktop vide order number 100080645 on 10 July 2012.


Received the item on 20 July 2012, but to my horror when I opened the packing the induction plate was shattered in pieces (pics attached).


I contacted customer support and their reply was even horrible. First they made me to send them pictures of broken item, then mailed me courier it back to them with some declaration form (whose link also is not working).


They have to receive it and they should be satisfied, even then they won’t replace the product, they would merely issue me a discount coupon valid for 15 days. This is bad marketing, instead of arranging a reverse pickup and sending a replacement product, they are just shying away.
