I have been shopping online for 6 years. I have shopped almost with every major website and start-up, but I never experienced what I experienced with Pepperfry.com.
I ordered 3 products on Pepperfy.com falling into their trap of heavy discounts. They took 20 days to ship (not deliver) two products. I got the delivery of these 2 products in 28 days. And both products stopped working after some usage.
They sent one of my ordered product to Chennai, Tamilnadu, and I live in Madhya Pradesh. When I asked about the delay, they kept fooling me about its status and said my problem has been "escalated". I wrote emails after emails but they did NOT reply. I contacted them on customer care number, which is always busy. They told me you can get a refund, I said ok refund my money. Since then 10 days have passed but I have NOT got the refunded amount in my bank, nor a refund confirmation email.
So by total days, since ordering, and initiating the refund procedure, it is now over a month. Yes, over a month.
In one line: they are frauds, scamsters and cheaters. Pepperfry.com is Ambareesh Murty’s Satyam and he is its Raju in the making.
Do not risk you money with them, even by cash on delivery. Lodge a complaint against them with Ministry of Consumer Affairs’ website or with local consumer court or contact pro-consumer programs on TV to expose them. These swindlers must be stopped from cheating and looting more innocent customers.
