I was just like any other customer, I read the pathetic reviews about Pepperfry but still I order from them to experience their services first hand. And it was a nightmare. I paid online through my credit card and the Order #100661065 for Retro Pool Face Towels (Set of 6).
The order was accepted and dispatched within a day. And then started the wait and mail exchanges. The customer care did not have any inkling about the order status and keep on telling me that the order is underway even after 2 weeks.
Only after I told them that I am going to consumer court then they said that they will send the order again. but I was for a big shock after I got the delivery as the product was not as advertise. WHAT A SHAME!
As a consumer who has paid in advance, I hoped for a quick resolution and not the mental agony that I went through. I hope that people keep away from this site.
And I hope that government take some actions to stop such fraudulent sites who cheat the consumers.
