I ordered a duvet cover and some rosewater on pepperfry online. we waited for the order to come but one fine day we get an sms saying that our order has been cancelled. I wrote to them asking for the reason and they said I wrote them an email for cancellation of the order. which I had absolutely not. So I asked them to furnish the email in which I had raised the cancellation.
They kept ignoring my request and gave all sorts of excuses like their system works real time and they do not have the email. which I refuse to believe as they would have to keep a record of correspondences along with invoices. So I pursued them for the email. It got a call from Promod from Pepperfry and he told me that their that was confidential to which I replied that I did not want their data but my own ’cancellation request email’. He said he would send it.
An hour later I got an email which was fake. It was clearly fabricated and written on my behalf. I did not imagine who could they go so low as to write a fake email instead of just accepting their mistake. It is illegal and I am going to take action against it.
