This is the second time Im buying from pepperfry and its going to be final. I like eCommerce sites because they give you good range to choose from and good deals but the one place where some companies and unfortunately pepperfry also exploits its customers is when they come up with an unethicalall orders are final policy. This gives the impression that they are willingly selling stuff that are useless and trying to victimize people using their sites without responsibility or ownership for their customers. Also the delivery time span is too late which is another negative aspect of pepperfry.
I ordered a hardware accessory and unlike ready to use items you cannot just plug and play them. I booked a serviceman and showed him the item ordered online(same day to be sure everything was ok when it arrived) and unfortunately the accessory was something which is not suitable in my construction setup. The item was not even shipped and I requested a cancellation on the same day it was ordered after I realized the issue. Im not a serviceman myself so ordered it by mistake. Pepperfry blatantly denied that they dont have any form of order cancellations and all sales are final. This is more like a Chinese market company where you get things without guarantee. I am surprised to see that online marketplaces have stooped down to such cheap tactics in cheating customers and making money by throwing stuff on their customers after cheating them and taking their money. I would rather go with a reputed seller like amazon or even a local hardware shop next time so that I dont have to suffer like this again. And later when I had a look at amazon I figured they not only have great returns policy but also arranges a professional to assist you with the assembly for free and takes full responsibility and ownership for the products they sell to their customers. This is exactly what we call professionalism, the trust and reputation that we expect from a brand. But sadly pepperfry does not qualify to be any of these and appears to be a cheap, struggling and greedy for money syndicate that is worse than chinese road side market shops in India.
I will not recommend anyone wasting time in pepperfry and sincerely wish that such companies without any ethics close down soon before they loot more customers for some easy money.
It not how much money you make and show your investors, but how many satisfied customers you have that really count! My sincere recommendation is not to engage in any business with such unethical companies.
