Ive unfortunately order a bit of stuff from pepperfry. but I have finally learned my lesson. their customer service is VERY bad. their csr speak very politely but the work in the end is not done. as per them Octroi Charges will be paid by the company n not the buyer yet I was made to pay octroi charges which they promised to credit to my account. this was in July 2012 inspite of reminders till date I have not received the amount. the delivery men harass you for a tip saying they dnt get anything from the company. I had ordered a jewellery box costing nearlyrs.1500/- which I received but was Not as advertised.
I mailed them the pics etc even sent it back to them. they courier stuff in bulk and hence dont pay too much for courier I had to pay rs.500/- to send it back as it was a solid mango wood jewellery box . Most online shopping companies pick up their stuff but here u have to do everything and they pay , i.e. they promise to pay , a max of rs.150/- as domestic courier charges. the return procedure is tiring and tedious and does not solve the problem. I returned an article in the end of Sept 2012 and now its almost the end of Nov and havent heard from them since. they have 2 mail ids and they keep shifting the job from one tot he other.
Their phs are always busy when u call ... for 15mins!!! its like a black hole where everything disappears. do not be taken in by the polite, sweet csr they only fool you. Ill never order from them again. It was a very big mistake.
