Youthful image

I would like to share my opinion with my fellow members of mouthshut.com. Pepsi makes a cola drink which is seemingly forcing it down the parched throats of many indian cola drinkers. It surely has over the years painted a youthful image of itself and has been successful in carving a niche for itself.


To tell you the truth, most consumers in india cannot stomach the war between the cola giants called Coca cola and Pepsi. Most, honestly, couldnt be bothered. If a store offers coke and not pepsi they still go ahead and buy it to drink. So, a coke is a coke is a coke. Pepsi is sweeter and coke has a lot more fizz in it. But it still doesnt make a difference to an average cola drinker. So why the noise?


Lets all understand that the average customer is targeted by some neatly made advertisements. It is silly at times..


I must admit though, Pepsi has a more youthful image, thanks to their advertisements, and Coke has a more matured image, again, thanks to the way they choose their advertisements.


Finally, I personally think, the winner here would be the company who establishes a broader distributor network and not the one who craftily designs advertisements.
