A fellow MS member has recommended Pepsi and while I respect his opinion (which is based on his own experience), I still prefer the good old ’’Tufaani Thanda’’ or TT as I call the old faithful T-Up.
Both Pepsi and Coke are too sweet for my liking (is it that these MNCs have developed a India specific flavour?) and nothing tastes as good as T-UP irrespective of the ambient temperatures.
I cannot recall ever having enjoyed swigging a pepsi or a coke, but its a different case when its T-UP. Take a deep swig, swirl it around the mouth and the tingling sensation it leaves behind is simply blissful.
One can even mix it with Old Monk (OM) and enhance the already heady flavour of OM. OM with TT is a favorite of almost 80% of rum lovers that I personally know. The others stick to water for reasons known only to them!!!
Again I must say that this is entirely my own opinion about rating pepsi/coke/t-up. To each his/her own. The arrival of these MNC brands has not had much of an impact on the erstwhile Parle range of soft drinks, except the sad demise of LIMCA which used to combine very well with gin.
Can anyone else comment on T-UP?
