Have u checked out their latest ads? pretty sad! it has them struggling to lash out at Coke and very openly...except that it falls flat. Brands dont have to hit at competitive brands to prove that theyre better. Pt is normally, I wouldnt really care about drinking coke or pepsi that much though somewhere at the back of my head, I think coke is a much better drink, and now even on imagery and association, it stands much higher than Pepsi. Ofcourse, theyve managed to get some key distribution areas where only pepsi retails, but then, it sells more due to forced choice rather than free choice. But one would have to give it to them that they really manage to get the right people as brand ambassadors, only the way of using them is inappropriate.
