Good for the Can

The allure of Pepsi as of late have been the great can designs. That may sounds shallow, but perception is 90% of the sale, as most in the ad industry well know.

The swirling, bright-blue colors are distinct and cannot be confused with any other beverage. There was a clothing manufacturer that put out a summer dress some years ago in those same colors and was known unofficially as ’the Pepsi dress’; it was outrageously popular and quite comfortable to wear. Yes... I bought one; I like those shades of blue.

I must say that we do not often drink soda; high fructose corn syrup laden liquid is really not good for the body, at least drunk more than once in awhile. When we do drink carbonated beverages, however, we usually drink Pepsi. The taste is considerably better than its counterpart in our opinion. I must observe that we drank more of it when they were still making Vanilla flavored Pepsi, but that is neither here nor there.

It tastes fresh... not too rich nor too sweet. It actually tastes as though you are getting a refreshing drink , when in reality you know its not good for you to drink it.

A fun juxtaposition of mental beverage analysis, if nothing else. in a lunch capacity Pepsi pairs well with a simple sandwich, adding a bit of enhancement to the food... performing much the same as the ’spoon full of sugar’ phenomena, where bread and water is ’turned into’ tea and cakes.
