I have been in calcutta almost my entire life have been to Peter Cat scores of times. as a regular, I have sworn by the food at Peter Cat. as a child, I used to frequent the place with my folks and later on, in college, it was a regular hang out as the place was just 5-6 mins away from my college. the overall ambience at peter cat is pretty good. the music is not blared and you dont have to yell to be heard. the place is frequented by regulars and surprisingly, lots and lots of foreign tourists. another thing about the place is that it is NEVER empty! seriously, at any given time of the day, there’s a queue to get in to the restaurant!!! anyway, the dishes to die for are:
1.Chelo Kebabs
2.Grilled Chicken Sizzler and Roasted Chicken sizzler.
3.Chicken Biriyani
The Cream of Chicken Soup
Tutti Frutti Ice cream
apart from the above, the ambience is great too. its perfect for a cozy dinner and great conversation. the waiters, for some reason are a bit snooty and while entering the restaurant you may get the feeling that the ushers are doing you a favor. but dont let that discourage you from having a great meal. the food is exceptional, especially so, at the affordable prices it comes at.
