Petrol vs Diesel (A Cautionary Tale)

I researched the economic and environmental advantages and disadvantages of petrol and diesel. I realised that my main decider was my annual mileage: greater than 12, 000 miles would call for a diesel engine, while less than 12, 000 miles would be happy with a petrol.  My total mileage didn’t exceed 10, 000 miles a year, so I bought a petrol engine. My company  promptly shifted my place of work - adding an additional 5500 miles a year to my commuting distance.

So the moral of this tale is: note your current situation, do the comparisons, consult a seer and then decide.

PS: Does anyone want to swap their brand swanky new RAV4 GX 4D4 diesel for a far less fuel-efficient brand swanky new petrol version?
