Bought this Wonderful Gizmo from InShopping.com, However after a few not so friendly teletalks with the customer care and the 3rd party vendor, Got the parcel containing PHILIPS DVP3996/94 with HDMI(DIVX ULTRA) USB, 5.1 Channel Quality Audio Output at a Price of 3600 INR.
Right away connected to my Good OL SONY TRINITRON 29’(Born Dreamer, HDMI is for future compatibility) and started the never before AV experience.
Where to start:- The first thing with brought smile on my face was, when the LED glowed on the Front Panel out of an Opaque Silver Front. Connected my pristine collection of Movies from my Laptop into the 4GB USB Stick(DivX AVI Files), and voila the quality and expereince was non less than a proper DVD, However 1/5 the size. Connected the Home theater system to the 5.1 channel and could hear live Thunders of the Monsoon in this drought year. Watched 5 of the favorite movies back to back and no a jerk from the Box now thats quality. I know there are many cheaper versions you would get in market in 2/3 of the price, however nothing would match the quality and efficiency of little Box. I went through few of the same specs of other Labels like Sony(Too expensive.), LG(Couldn’t find all the features), Mitashi(Cheap price and so the looks and ofcourse will be the quality).
