Philips 727 Progressive Scan DVD Player

Guys, There has been a lot of talk about Philips 625 DVD player and it seems that everybody is satisfied with the product. But Philips haven’t stopped here. They have come up with a new DVD 727 Full feature packed DVD player. Best features include 3:2 pull down Progressive Scan, built-in DTS Decoder, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-A, DVD-VIDEO, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, JPEG, MP3 playing capability in addition to being multi region. It has the same sleek design as 625 and there is not much of the cost difference. Personally I feel if any one wants to go for a Philips DVD player, then DVD 727 is the best choice. The only drawback to these two models are non-resume capability. Once a disc is out, it cannot be resumed and will start from the begining. But Philips has kept a temporary resume feature in which if the dvd is stopped without dvd being taken out, the resume function will work.

Friends,

DVD 625 is definitely different than DVD 727. Major difference in two is that 625 does not have in-built DTS decoder and cannot give 5.1 channel output unless until connected to a prologic amplifier. Moreover, hacking and fiddeling with your system can prove futile and you may end up burying your dead system.

Best Regards.
