Can play Xvid also. This is a great advantage because most of the movie downloads now days are in Xvid format.

Can be easily converted in to a region free Divx player. Another advantage if you use Amazon (or any other website like it) to buy DVDs . Sometimes even the pirated ones have different region encoding in them.
