Went through the review of the player by riz_elxsi.
interesting to a geek but a lot of what was written
would not be easily comprehended by lay people like me!
I would bet that riz is at least an electronic engineer.
My own comments on this DVD player are-This is a great value
for money package!
For the price you get a plethora of features.
It plays most of the formats incl DIV-X, which even ONKYO’S
DVD player costing 4 times as much does not.
So, you get very good playback for your VCD’s, DVD’s, DIV-X Discs,
picture cd, s Audio CD’s , incl MP3 CD’s.
Picture quality is great for the price-I would say at least 85% of what you get
with ONKYO’s DVD Player501, which , as I said earlier , costs many times more.
Sound quality, which was very important to me, since I listen to music a whole
lot more than watch movies, is v.good indeed-OK, it would not compare with a
stand alone CD player like Arcam, but how many of us can spend 25 to 30 thou
bucks for just a CD player?
The player is pretty easy to set up and the remote is well laid out and easy to
use-yo dont require an engg degree to figure out what the buttons do , like some I’ve seen.
And the set is pretty nice to look at.
So, if you want an all in one player, that gives a very satisfying audio and video
experience, without having to take a PF loan to buy it , this is definitely it.
