Looking For DVD+DivX...This is it! DVP 642

For a long time I was waiting for this baby to hit the market. I was aware of DivX codec and knew its potential. Why I have done DivX encoding using FFMPEG in Linux env.

I have a Sony TRV 33E handycam and was always looking for a way to store my home video in best quality possible with least amount of file size. Thats where DivX fits in and hence as a natural choice for playback is DVP 642K.

It costed me Rs 5800/- but thats ok to pay since DivX is there. If you are not aware of DivX, then in simple terms using DivX one can store a one hour DVD quality in a DivX format on CD and play through this babe. That means 1Gb size is reduced to 640 MB with no reduction in quality.

It has 6.1 channel surround sound, truly amazing one. Finally if you are looking for a DVD player and would like it be futuristic then DVP 642 is the one. Trust me on this!
