The product seems to fairly fit in a Indian kitchen. It uses cases like:
Finely dicing onions (Chopper) for onion dosa, omelette chutneys and for every dish that needs lots of finely diced onions
Again, we can use the slicer blades to get bigger sized onions that are needed for making sambar and for salads.
Finishes 80% work, for making chappati naan dough.
Just enough to process food for a family of three and can scale when there are guests coming. It slices a kilo of Onion in exactly a minute.
Very easy to store, it is really compact and light weight
Main uses from my point of view:
-Easily dice huge chunks of onion in no time.
-Slicing and shredding loads of veggies for salads.
-Sweet lime / orange juicer attachment.
Notes for prospective buyers:
The feeder tube fits about 2 inches wide (Medium) sized onions that we get in Delhi.
If onions are bigger we just break them into two and put them in. Thats the most amount of cutting that we do manually.
In my opinion, this model is slightly better in build quality than hr7628. In fact, the slicing and dicing disk in hr7629 is one stainless steel disk.
7628 has a detachable plastic disc so, I went for this. And with the black color it looks fabulous.
It comes with a blender too. Not sure if this, can be used for processing multiple but manageable batches for long period of time.
GREATLY HELP TO GET LOTS OF ONIONS PROCESSED FOR SUNDAY SPECIAL CURRIES WITHOUT HAVING TO SHED A TEAR. :)
