It was a search for a good MP3 player when one of my colleague showed me Philips MP 3 player having a capacity of 1 GB that was purchased by him from Chandigarh. I was searching the same in my small town but that was a new thing for the vendors.
Luckily I happened to go to Faridabad and I visited ’Reliance Mart’ that was open even on Sunday. To my surpirse there was no end to have a look at the electronics products displayed there. I was in a fix to see and choose the right product but since the time was too short, I just enquired for ’Ipod’ and saw multi branded and multi capacity mp3 players.
The Philips mp3 player was also there and it was available for a price of Rs. 2499/- of 2 GB capacity. The item I was looking for was in front of me and I bought the same. The sound quality of the product was quite good as I tried for similar product of other companies.
One choice was available to rethink between the mp3 player and mp3 player including video player. But I preferred the mp3 player mainly due to the price difference which was almost half as compared to the video player and secondly I believe that the movies should be watched in cinema halls or even through DVD players.
Apart from the sound quality, the size of the mp3 players of Philips was quite small and it looks like a matchbox. It is very easy to load the songs in the mp3 player and pocket the same after fixing the earphones and relax. I uploaded alomost 70-80 songs in different folders and it took almost 500 mb space i.e. about one fourth of the total capacity.
Other than the above features, it can play the FM radio and upto 20 channels can be listed in the mp3 player. More over, it can record the FM programmes and later on, the same can be copied to your computer....Easy. Now you can not miss your favourite song or any other programme airing on FM as now you can record the same and store it on your computer.
It can record your voice also. Just click the record option and relax. The conversation will be recorded and the output can be saved in mp 3 player and later on it can be copied to your computer. I found the device quite useful and handy. The value against the features is not too much and I hope that it will indeed going to be a useful device for me.
