Philips GoGear Spark

I am very excited to write this review. I bought it this tiny little mp3 player from philips today and will write everything that I observed till now.

The Highlights:

1) Really cute design

2) the display is very nice , but only to see photos and album art.And its a colour display. Customization are allowed like changing wallpaper, slideshows, themes.

3) The sound output is very good , reasonably loud and good reproduction.

4) The FM radio is great , it scanned all the stations correctly and quickly (<1 min), and it also supports RDS which means it can display additional info provided by the stations

5) The file transfers are very very fast .It supports two methods , one in which u can transfer songs and charge the player and another to charge and listen at the same time. That’s very thoughtful.

6) An addon clip is provided to clip it to the pant.

7) 22hrs audio playback is mind blowing , no other player offers such a good battery life.

8) The software is provided on the device itself so no downloading any other softwares.Just plug it and you are good to go.

9) A special mention to the Philips Songbird software provided on the device , it is simply too good .Managing music is very very easy.

10) Has file browser in the player , so u can delete stuff directly from the player.

The Bad:

1) Data cable is short

2) The provided earphones are not very good, but the price of this player is resonable so u can buy a nice earphones.

3) Does not support video playback

4) The face of the player is glossy so fingerprints are visible

5) Does’nt support AAC and OGG audio formats (These are new advanced formats which some players support)

Purchase Details:

Purchased at CTC in secundrabad, near paradise hotel for Rs 2, 450 for 2GB model with one year national warranty.

Hi fellas , i am updating this review, as of now i’ve been using it for quiet sometime.

The updates:

Battery really stands up to the claimed life of 21-22hrs

Its a little easy to get scratches on it.

The belt clip may seem delicate but is very good indeed.

Charging the player is quick, takes around 2hrs to fully charge

Player operation is very easy once u get used to it.

I would reccommend this player to anyone having a budget of 2.5k
