Markets are flooded with dozens of coffee makers and after my previous coffee maker conked of and having to wait three months only to not get a part made me decide, it should be from a company thats trustable, should have good quality of parts, spares like the carafe and filter basket should be quick to source and I should not have to wait weeks for a part if it does fail and I needed a 12 cup coffee maker.
After going through my options I shortlisted and decided to go again with black and decker but having to wait months for parts nope I would not take that chance and so I landed up finding phillips cheaper than black and decker quality of parts tho not upto mark as a black and decker but not costly enough which means incase two years down the line incase it fails and I dont get parts I can scrap it.
Got it for 2500 and it came well packed and the silver panels looked pretty, the plastic on the carafe seemed kind of not upto mark but not terrible enough as other companies easily available. Well its pretty easy to operate, just pour in water add your geound coffee or tea leaves into the filter basket and turn on and let it do its work. Having a hot plate means ur coffee stays hot whenever you need to have it.
Cleaning it is also easy. Its not so noisy.
Its been a year now and have had no issues besides having broken a carafe and after ordering them from the service center which I must say is inefficient, the excuse they give? This model is not so available.
They took about three weeks to have it ready to purchase filter basket and carafe costs about 45% of the cost of the coffee maker. But its fine pretty decent quality.
