The review is with regards to Philips 1000 series model TAUT102. The product got faulty twice for two different reasons:
First time: One of the earbud audio was low
Second time: One of the earbud was not charging
Major pain area:
Replacement is not instant and the authorized service center says need to wait for the replacement.
Service center far off: The service center is 30 minutes drive rather 5 - 10 minutes drive
Warranty extension if replacement taking more than 27 days: First-time replacement took 7 days and the second time they took 20 days to replace the faulty item. When raised this issue with customer service they said once the warranty is over you need to pay the charges even if they know that there is a quality issue in their product.
18% GST TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT: For this product government took 18% GST for their secure salaries and when tried to register a complaint then their portal is not working properly.
Lesson for the readers before purchasing any brand item or local item:
Check the nearest service center in your location only then purchase any electronic gadgets as charges are high and their service center is far off which will cost you time, fuel and if they say on Monday sir replacement came you need to wait for another 6 days when you get your office off to pick it which will take 30 days and no extension of warranty by the company.
GST 18% TAKEN FOR PURCHASE AND REPAIR AGAIN GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE TAXES: While purchasing an item you pay 18% GST and if out of warranty for repairing again taxes will be added by the company wherein the warranty is not extended.
