We bought the Phillips HL7707 Mixer Grinder with 4 Jars on 5th August 2021. Within one week the mixer jar(transparent tall jar) had a huge crack(see photos). The jar was never dropped from a height or otherwise misused. Damage happened during regular use, that too within few days of purchase.
Obviously this is on account of design/manufacturing defect. Phillips wanted to make a transparent jar for convenience but forgot to make it strong enough. When we went to get a replacement under warranty, Phillips refused flat out, instead tried to sell us a new jar for Rs.750.
Phillips is already way over the average price compared to many Indian brands. My advice would be: don’t get fooled by foreign brand names. Buy a cheaper mixer grinder, it may in fact turn out to be also more durable!
