I have thoroughly gone through the specifications of this product in the company website before the purchase. I knew what this product can and cannot do, before purchasing it. If all buyers do that, there is simply no need for any negative review about this product. Because, for what you pay, you do not get any other product at this price with these features. At this price, no other product offers SPDIF / Optical Input, which is essential for routing HD Audio from HD DTH system, if you do not have an HDMI ARC featured TV. I have yet to deploy the rear speakers but even the front and center speakers offer full value for the money. If you are a first time HT buyer, I’d recommend this in a heart beat. But if you have already used any other budget HT system or equivalent HT system, you need to go for an upgrade.
Pros:
Deep Bass. First time I switched on MP3 Audio with some of my favourite songs, simply blown away. I haven’t had such a good audio system for a while now.
Setup self explanatory as well as well-documented in manual.
As I said above, comes with SPDIF in, which no equally priced product offers.
Cons - minor ones
USB MP3 Music does not autoplay. You have to navigate through the folders using your TV and then play manually.
No Bluetooth audio. I don’t know whether any other product does offer it at this price.
Remote buttons are hard.
So many functions are accessible only through remote control and not through the console. But this is also the case with a ?40, 000/- Sony HT system that my relative has.
FM manual setup is not easy. You do the auto install and eliminate the unwanted channels in between. This is the easy no-fuss way to setup FM.
So, go through the specs in company website, know what you are getting into. See if this matches your needs before you buy it. I guess this applies for any product.
