Today I would like to share my experience about Philips Home Theater system which I bought 5 months ago from Croma Malad. Its was under 6 months warranty at the time of purchase as a standard protocol whih most of the brand follows. After using it just for 3 months the system started misbehaving like its get freeze every now and then, the usb port not responsive, etc so I called Philips customer service dept and they sent technician. The technician clearly told me that there is a problem with the motherboard. I contact philips again as the product was under warranty so they asked me to visit croma and they will assist me with that. I went to croma with the system and croma ask me to keep the system and they will get it done. After a week croma called me and said that everything is working properly now. The system worked fine for a month and one fine day it went off completely. I again contacted croma and they ask me to pay 4k in order to replace the motherboard. I told them that the product is under warranty but they told me that service is free however spare parts are chargeable and they ask me to contact philips for further help. I tried calling philips several times but no resolution provided. Really frustrated and will going to file a complaint agaibst philips for selling cheap products and fooling or cheating customers.
