Philips HTS 3569

I have been using a Sony Home Theatre 5.1 DTS, 4000 watts PMPO set up right from 2002. But this model was launched just before MP3-added version Home Theatres came into market. So, I wanted to upgrade my 6 year old HT when I got a 42" Plasma. Things I considered before finalising my buy;

1)It should be value for money

2)It should read DVD, CD, SVCD, MP3, WMA, AAC, Flash Drive read, DTS, Dolby etc.

3)It should have HDMI output

4)It should not be outdated too soon

5)It should match the aesthetics of my living room

Considering all these facts well in advance, I managed to take demo at Onkyo showroom, Sony at Ezone, Denon at Profx showroom and atlast Philips 3569 at Philips Arena. Frankly, Sony systems ranging from 12k to 30k, Onkyo systems ranging from 20 to 35k, Denon set up ranging from 50k to 100k all went to absolute non-existance when I entered the Philips Demo room.

I was blown out with the sound clarity, tight clean bass, superb clarity and punch on MP3 music on a 3569 model. So, it was clearly a win win situation with Philips. A Home theatre system for 22k could not be better than Philips 3569. It has all 4 tower speakers 125 watts each, centre speaker of 250 watts and a passive sub woofer of 250 watts, total output of 1000 watts RMS. Infact, DVD Dts output through an HDMI cable to the 42" Plasma gives a true, clear, real home theatre effect around you. Cant find a single reason to complain about the quality of picture nor sound. The 1000 watts output is enough to blow your neighbour out of the window by any means. So, my upgrade from a 400 watts to 1000 watts really changed the way I watched movies so far.

Its really a value for money, quality product, which I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.
