My Sweet first PDA

The Nino 300 is an amazing piece of PDA. I have bought this around late 1998 and I still use it.

This is the first time, I was exposed to PDA and to Windows CE. It ha al the standard apps like outlook, calendar, contacts and tasks. I use the hand scripting very often to take notes while discussing with somebody and convert them pics. Infact, I had my first digital signature from this PDA.

It has nice wider screen compared to may of the other PDAs even today and so easy on eyes.

The touch screen is quite soft and easy to write. The voice commands are neat. You need to train first time and then you can just go on. I open my calendar, tasks and even sound recorder just by screaming at this instrument. It’s cool.

I regularly sync this PDA with my desktop and it is very fast. I can use the company provided software or MS active sync for connecting to desktop. Both works very well.

Only issue I had was, I couldn’t get the USB connector while buying so I have to have a parallel port cord to data updates.

Bottom line, I am still happy using it after 4 years and I stay hooked to it.
