Philips Tornado CFL Bulb - Skip it

Philips Tornado CFL Bulb are not that great of a product. They burn out very quickly, withing months. They are also very expensive. One bulb costs hundreds of rupees and simple save no electricity using it.

In fact all CFL bulbs were waste of time and money. I think it was all ploy by companies to make us spend more money. They all created so much of hype around it that people started believing they were cleaner and better options.

But they are not. You need more than 4 20 watt CFL bulbs to get same amount of light and brightness in a room which you get by one 60 watt tubelight.

So you did not save any electricity but either stayed in darkness or spent more electricity.

The CFL bulbs are as hazardous as the tube-lights. They use the same gases and same principles. CFLs are just the compact versions of tube lights.

Now they sold all the CFL bulbs they wanted so it LED’s turn now.

They will be even more expensive and am not sure if they will save any electricity in the long run or not.
