Phillauri is a bollywood movie produced by anushka sharma and 20th century fox.
anushka sharma plays the role of shashi, diljit dosanjh play the character of roop lal phillauri and suraj sharma plays the the guy called kanan.
in the first half, kanan comes from canada to india after 3 years.in this time span he has never been to india.after comming to india, his parents and anu’s(his chilhood friend) parents gather to make them a married couple.but for some rituals it was said by the pandit that he has to marry a tree first to keep away from the troubles he might get after marrying.and marrying the tree comes his life a new trouble shashi, a ghost who was trapped in the tree for suiciding in it.this incident made kanan and anu’s life miserable and anu started to feel that someone else is in kana’s life and he dowsn’t love her anymore.phillauri also started telling her life story that her mom and dad died and the only near one she had was her big brother.
in the second half, shashi told how she met roop lal and fell in love.but as being a bad charactered, roop lal was not accepted by her brother.so he went to amritsar to earn money and fame .he did so and sent some money to her family .her brother now was convinced and he told the can marry.and in marriage day, he did not come to marry(as shashi thought).she also revealed that she was pregnant.so she hang herself in the tree with a broken heart.
on the other side kanan found what actually happened and took her in amritsar and shashi and roop lal both met each other and vanished.kanan and anu also reunited.
the story is amazing.not very realistic.but personally I like this kind of movies than those action movies of non actors.
performance from everyone is amazing .actually they all are good actors.music is amazing.cinematography is awesome and graphics are incredible as anushka looked real queen .i just fell in love with her.
although this movie did not do good in the box office as expected.
