Last weekend released movies Phillauri, based on a dead woman soul. The film was produced by Anushka Sharma. In the movie Anushka is playing the role of a ghost. The film was start with the marriage seen of Kanan played by Suraj Sharma. Kanan was going to married his childhood love, Annu played by Mehreen Pirzada. In the movie the twist was occur when kanan married a tree as he is Mangalik. Shashi played by Anushka as a ghost was living in that tree and treat it as her home. But after married Kanan with the tree, they cut down the tree and Shashi was be with him. The film run two parallel love stories that of Kanan And Shashi. The film is not interesting till interval on the second half when focused on Daljit and Anushka the story feel good.
If I talk about the cast performance only Anushka shining the screen. As the story was slow the artist does not impact their acting on movies anymore except Anushka. All the other characters in the film played an average performance.
Sound track was also not so impressive. The songs are not so popular till now. The film was based on Punjab story so we can see clear punjabi language and its influence on the film.
If I am going to say about cinematography is ok nothing special in it. The whole film is sute on a rural area as per the script. The film was 2 and half hour nearly, so it is very difficult for the audience to hold their chair with such a slow movie. So I just give 2 star to the film and that just because of Anushka performance otherwise the film is just one star.
