Wat nonsense!!

Last week, after XMen 3 proved that sequels can in fact match up to the original, PhirHera Pheri convinces us that good old movies are best left alone. This one is an insipid attempt to portray a bumbling trio of guys getting embroiled in various get-rich-quick schemes.

Raja(Akshay Kumar) is the epitome of nonchalance and gambles his money andlife with an apparent childlike naiveté. Shyam (Sunil Shetty) is theinnocent shy chap who can never stand up for himself and Baburao GanpatApte (Paresh Rawal) is the hilarious blinking fool of an old man whonever knows when to keep his mouth shut.

Rajubasically loses all their money as well as that of some ruffians, Bipasha Basu is in search of some diamonds, valuable guns are stolen, amean gorilla is out for revenge, Johnny Lever dabbles in drugs, loveblossoms with Rimi Sen over gola and paani puri… the list is endless!More and more fracas makes one clutch one’s head and exclaim- “There’s more!?”.

Plainnonsense. There is no flow of story, smooth or otherwise. One wondersif there even is a story.. The performance is a whole bunch of juvenileoveracting, with Bipaha and Rimi posing as useless trinkets in thebackground. Songs pop in and out for no rhyme or reason! A sudden doseof Himesh.. Yikes!

Theonly saving grace is Paresh Rawal who is too ludicrous! Credit must begiven to the fact that I rarely stopped laughing throughout the movie, even if it was (for the most part) silly slapstick humour. It actuallyis a riot with one of the stupidest of all endings one could havefathomed to escape the madness.

Puremind numbing nonsense. Go watch it if you must, out of curiosity aboutthe first one, but be sure to leave your mind at home and not fall downon all the mirth!!
