This was my first visit to Phoneix Marketcity, Bangalore. On 9/sep/2012 around 11.30AM me and wife visited the Phoenix Market city, Bangalore. In the Parking Entrance, there was already a two wheeler waiting in front of the barricade. There was only one security staff present and she was giving a token to a car which was on the other lane. After that she came to us and given a hand signal to go and opened the automatic barricade and the bike in front of mine started moving. Since the staff didnt told anything to us and gave a hand signal to proceed, we also proceeded. All of a sudden, the barricade which opened was closed and it fell down and hitted heavily on wifes Left Ear and Backside Bone. Then I realized the security lady who had operated
it to close down. She arrogantly informed us that we have to get a token and already a token issued to bike in front of us and who didnt moved for a long time. She didnt spoke any word or signal to us to stop and we proceeded because she had given a hand signal to go.
My wife felt terrific pain in ears and backbone, and still she couldnt able to come out from the shock. What will happen if the barricade hits on my wifes head, may be she might have dead on the spot. Since this is the first visit, we didnt know we have to get a token. If she had given a token to the bike in front of us, she should first let the bike go and then have to come a issue a token to the Car. When we are waiting behind the bike, she didnt gave any token to bike and gave a hand signal to proceed. When we escalated the issue to the help desk, the reply from the manager is "She is new staff and no training provided. She is also belong to thir party vendor who supplies peoples to mall for managing other works and tendered excuse to us.". Even though they are belonging to third party vendor, adequate training has to be given and these training will not take more than 10 min, I wonder how come one of the biggest mall in Bangalore organizes security and other allied works. There is no absolute safety to the people visiting the mall.
One of the BAD experience for me and my wife and still my wife couldnt able to come out from this tragedy.
