Heheh!
That is for all those members of the english movie watching community who have not watched the movie Phone Booth yet.
I know its only been a day since its release in India and that many of you have booked the shows on the weekend to watch this mouth watering dish-out by one of the most creative film-makers of today - JOEL SCHUMACHER.
The Movie starts out with a young and enthusiastic Stu (Colin Farrell) going on chatting on his phone with his clients and with some media people. all part of his job as a publicist. also part of his job is the daily lying to them about their situation. all this may lead you to believe that he was the most rapt liar in the world.
and after this session of lying to a couple of journos and a couple of his favourite clients .he enters a phone booth to call his mistress. this is when the story takes a wild turn.
this wild turn leads him into a bizarre series od events and he ends up becoming a pawn in the hands of one mad man out to get revenge for all of STUs sins.(lying et al). Stu is caught between the devil and the deep sea (to use a cliche). this is the driving force of the movie.
i will not spoil the intricate details of the movies. I want you to watch this amazing film and marvel at the genius of the maker for yourself.
a gripping tale which certainly kept me on the edge of my seat. I really loved the bleeding ear of colin farrell. a brilliant performance. a damn good plot. damn good actors. damn good camerawork. damn good.
