I bought a black vespa(without disc) in the month of June. I opted for vespa because of its looks which I fell for even though we had better competitors like Dio and Maestro. However, the performance was good earlier till the first service.
Later, the problem started with the engine. It began to stop all of a sudden in the middle of the road very often and it didn’t start. In the morning, had to kick start for sometime, which is very annoying. Though we’ve given it for servicing for the same problem. It worked fine for couple of days but the problem was never ending.
When I informed the same to the service center about the problem, surprisingly, they agreed that this is common for vespa and asked me to bring it back.
Coming to the handling and comfort levels, damn I almost hit other vehicles with the braking system and sometimes back wheel skids. People might even think I drove rash. But I’ve used some other vehicles previously of this class but never had such problems. Very poor braking system. However, I should agree that the mileage is as good as promised by the company.
If you’re planning for a long drive then that’s going to be a disaster because for the first time I went on a long drive for 200 kms to & fro. And that’s what made me review vespa.
Finally, please folks, don’t fall for the looks and repent later like me. It isn’t worth the money you invest.
