Bad customer experience

I own a Honda Activa(2002 model) and happened to get it serviced from Pilot Honda(Deonar, Chembur).


It was all good as long as I didn’t go to collect my vehicle on the given date of delivery. I paid an amount of Rs.4000/- towards servicing, anti rust, change of front mudguard(along with colour) and then went to collect the vehicle.


To my surprise, the vehicle’s number plate was cracked, the handle was out of sync and my handle lock had stopped working. When asked the service advisor that why isn’t the vehicle in the same condition as it was given 2 days back, they simply answered that they don’t know anything about it.


I asked for a manager and he said that it must have been broken initially and just came out during pressure wash. I explained him how a number plate can be cracked while servicing as I had asked them to change my front mudguard, the mechanic while replacing the original part must have banged the vehicle’s front part without the Tyre in place resulting into a damaged number plate. He agreed to the same and offered me a free wash the next time I visit the showroom.


How can somebody offer a free wash for a damaged number plate?


Anyways, I then pointed out to him that even the handle is tilted and the handle lock does work anymore to which he said "Yeh to aaise hi hota hai" and post an argument his Senior Mechanic agreed that the same is not fitted properly.


I forced them to re open the Job Card(this time it was fortunately free) and also insisted on getting my number plate fixed(free of cost). All was agreed to by the said Customer service Manager.


Two days after that I received my vehicle home delivered with the same damaged number plate with an assurance of getting it replaced the next time I get my vehicle serviced from them. Pilot Honda is full of goonda raj and their managers are more of damagers. There is nobody who takes ownership and keeps blaming others.


Based on my last experience with Pilot Honda, I would not recommend them to any of the Mouth shut members.


Looks like all of them are graduated from University of Customer Dissatisfaction.
