PINK

PINK .

The colour Pink is symbolic with feminism, and it is so strange that women need a colour to symbolise their existence to cover the blackness that our society has shown towards them. Unfortunately, there is no light at the end of the tunnel because for centuries, all across the globe, there is a faction of society that is colourblind and ignorant.

No matter what measures we take to avoid pests in our homes, they continue to breed and thrive. The least we can do is squash them and keep our homes clean to keep them at bay. But how do we control them from prowling outside? That is the question.

If you know people who cannot take a woman’s "No" and are hostile towards their dignity, then please disassociate with them and seclude them. Such pests thrive because we give them an environment where they feel free to do whatever they want.

Coming to the movie, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury , Ritesh Shah and Shoojit Sircar along with the entire cast does a wonderful job in giving the audience goosebumps for a matter that most of us take very lightly as we have come to terms with the fact that Eve teasers and Molesters are as prevelant as cockroaches in our society.

The first half is silent and full of expressions that need to be understood, sets a perfect platform for the second half to go to another level. A word of caution, please finish your popcorn before the intermission because you might lose the appetite later. The second half of the film will show you a mirror where you might have to judge your instincts and the assumptions you make when you come across a woman who is as liberal as you, a woman who enjoys her freedom, a woman who could drink or smoke , or a woman from North East dressed in short dresses. Have a good look at it .

Excellent performances by everyone. Amitabh Bachhan needs no words of praises as he has surpassed it all, words can’t describe his talent, we all know he does justice to all his characters. The entire cast makes you believe that it is not a film that you are watching but a common , everyday incidence that you are witnessing.

The editing is crisp , the script is precise , there is not a single dialogue or a shot that was not required in the film.

Such films can’t be rated because we need such honest cinema to keep a reality check amidst the cinema that takes us to fantasy world.

Go for it and ask your friends to watch it too.
