Pirate Radio is an illegal radio station which is broadcasted from a ship in North Sea by some passionate music lover guys.
They started it because only BBC radio was legal and it does not plays rock and pop music so they started it illegally naming the radio station as Radio rock.Government officials did not like it and wanted to shut it down.
They tried to gain public favour but radio rock was way to popular.They tried many ways to stop it but couldnt find anything to stop it.Finally a news of fisherboat who distress call was blocked due to radio station’s powerful signal comes in light and they finally made an act of Marine offenses act under which all illegal radio stations will be stopped as they are dangerous for other people who are in the sea.
This act has been passed and asked them to stop the broadcasting but radio rock defy the law and continues to play music.They trick the police when they comes to arrest them by changing the ship’s position but suddenly the ship couldnt take the strain and started to sink.Government official stopped his people to provide any help to them.But finally fans of radio station comes to rescue them with lot many boats.The ship sinks in the sea while music lives on.All the character are tremendous but especially Philip Hoffman who played ’count’ and Rhys Ifans who played ’Gavin’ were outstanding.I loved the plot and how story proceeds.Must watch it is
