Movie lovers, ahoy! Here comes the sequel to Pirates Of The Caribbean : Curse Of The Black Pearl.
When I read the reviews in the papers, I doubted whether this could meet the standards of the original Pirates, but it does! And best part of it is, Captain Jack Sparrow is back!! Despite the abrupt ending, you leave the theatre immensely satisfied.
Plot
The movie opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. They both are arrested for helping Jack Sparrow’s escape in the first part. Will must get Jack’s compass which is linked to the key that can kill the wicked Davy Jones. But for that, the condition is that Will must help Jack in finding the key to the chest in which lies the destruction of Davy Jones. Jack, Will and Elizabeth get set for hunting down the key-compass mystery. Elizabeth wants the key to free Will, Will wants the key to save his father and Jack wants the key to save his soul...
Technicalities
The movie stars some brilliant actors like Jhonny Depp (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Scret Window), Orlando Bloom (The Kingdom Of Heaven and the Lord of the Rings series). Both of them, who are the main actors, perform well ad share a great chemistry.
The technicalities are alright. The plot is a little weird, but its not a nonsensical plot. The direction is top notch. The witty dialogues give you a few laughs throughout the movie. The cinematography is excellent and there are quite good chances that Dad Man’s Chest will be nominated for best actor, best supporting actor and best effects award(I’m talking about Oscars, right!). The scenes where the giant tentacles grip the ship and break it into half is awesome. The action scenes are also well done.
My advice
This movie is for all : friends, families and couples too! The movie will be approved by everyone from 6 to 60. But nothing will be as exciting as watching it with friends. I’ve heard people saying that the original Pirates is better than this one. I dont deny! The exciting action scenes, those dialogues, that plot! Yes, the original Pirates is a bit better than this one. But this one is not below the standards. It is just as entertaining and just as action-packed. The abrupt ending will take you by suprise but wont adulterate your satisfaction. The third and the final part, Pirates Of The Caribbean : At World’s End, opens world-wide on May 25th, 2007. My word, this Pirates series will be very successful. Hence, the title. You may find the plot a bit weird, but the execution of the film compensates for that. So stop reading this review before you miss Jack’s boat!
