As a child, Pizza Hut was probably my favorite pizza place, next to Chucky Cheese’s, of course. But now, as a calorie concious adult, I look back on my Pizza Hut scarfing days and wonder, what was I THINKING?? Pizza Hut is truly an American institution. What other place would offer a greasy, cheese covered pizza, with the option of filling the crust with more greasy, slimy cheese? Pizza Hut has earned an even lower spot on my list since the incorporation of their fast food branches (usually alongside fast-food partners KFC or Taco Bell), where you can order a combo meal of a personal pan pizza and breadsticks, which employees tell me counts for more than your daily alotment of calories (2, 000). Another of my beefs with Pizza Hut is the quality of their ’’fresh’’ ingredients, namely the pineapples and black olives, which I regularly order on my pizzas. The pineapples often come tasting like they’ve been sitting out for weeks, and the olives only taste like rubber. If you’re going out for pizza, I would reccomend any place but this one.
