We put our daughter Shipra in Planet Kids, Basavanagudi, when she was 2.5 years old, after analysing about 8 other schools.
Infrastructure:
The rooms are sufficient and well-ventilated. Equipment is sufficient. Toilets are not good. Van facility is outsourced and the service could be better. They take so much money(We paid Rs. 33, 000 for a year for playschool), and I dont understand why they dont have their own van, like Podar Jumbo kids.
The play area is superb with green soft carpeting on the floor. The school uniform to be worn every friday is parrot green in colour with red contrast. I liked it.
Just for the comfort of children(and parents!), they allowed parents to stay with the child in the classroom for the first two days. I think that was very good. The third day my daughter dint even turn and look at us to say bye. She was happy to go.
One more month of school to go, and my daughter was taken for an outing only once so far.(They promised at least 3). The Splash pool is excellent and safe.
Teachers:
The teachers are excellent. They take very good care of the children, and the assistants are also efficient. Everyone is kind and smiling all the time. My daughter loves school.
Academics:
My daughter has learnt a lot at school. She communicates better, paints well, dances well and makes up lots of stories with her dolls. She has become very creative. The teachers usually send some art work home for us to see.
Once in a while they have festivals and get-togethers, which is excellent. We even sang nursery rhymes along with the children one day.
I hate their report card system. The questions overlap a lot, and I dont think the teachers put in a real effort to analyse each child. Anyway, report cards dont matter at that age, so its ok.
On the whole, we love the school and I would recommend it to everyone.
